About us
Varbergsklätterklubb has existed since 1993 and today has around 250 members. The association is a member of the Swedish Climbing Federation and is thus connected to the Swedish Sports Confederation, Swedish Free Sports, the Swedish Olympic Committee and the international climbing organizations UIAA, IFSC and ISMF.
We are a non-profit association of climbers for climbers and work to promote climbing in and around Halland. All work in the association is voluntary. We want to be the face of climbing in the Varberg region when it comes to access and care of our (few) rocks.
We moved into the current premises in 2015. It offers approx. 250 square meters of bouldering in various slopes. We also have a vertical wall (6.5m) for top rope climbing, one of the sections is equipped with autobelay.
On the upper floor you will find changing rooms (missing shower), a smaller gym section and the campus, two moonboards (2016 and 2024), chaos wall etc. Scroll down or click here for pictures
The association works actively to manage and develop the club premises, nearby cliffs and hopefully contribute to future climbers.
